Coventry Bees have confirmed that Blayne Scroggins has left his position at the club with immediate effect.

Having had a stint as senior team boss in 2012, he assisted incoming Elite League manager Gary Havelock this year and was also jointly in charge of the Storm in the National League alongside Laurence Rogers.

The Bees said in a statement: "Co-promoter Neil Watson wishes to thank Blayne for his hard work and dedication to Coventry Speedway over the past two years, and before that during his time at Peterborough and Mildenhall when he worked closely with Neil and Mick Horton.

Neil said: "I am sad that personal differences outside the speedway world have led to a rift between Mick and Blayne where it seems that they cannot work together, and I hope their differences can be quickly resolved as we end this season and look forward to 2014.

"In the meantime, Laurence Rogers will take the reins for the Storm's final meeting, and I will be working with Gary Havelock as we look to end the disappointing Elite League season on a more positive note."
