Scotland Seen Off By Warwicks

Warwickshire County Cricket Club have put themselves in with a good chance of making the Friends Provident Trophy semi-finals after victory against Scotland.

At the Citylet Grange club in Edinburgh, Warwicks set the Scottish Saltires a target of 243 in fifty overs after knocking up 242-6 with Jon Trott making 88 and Alex Loudon not out on 53.

Having had Opening Batsman Russell retire hurt, Scotland's reply was 146-9 to give Warwicks a win by 96 runs.

On the fourth day of the Third Test at Old Trafford, the West Indies, chasing 455 to win, were 301-5 at the close of play.

Chanderpaul was not out on 81 whilst Monty Panesar took the wickets on Smith,Morton and Bravo.
