The interviews are the second stage in the process to be a London 2012 volunteer.

Jean Tomlin, HR Director at LOCOG, said in a press release: ‘London 2012 volunteers will be the face of the Games – every role counts, from collecting tickets to welcoming athletes at the airport. It’s vital we find the right people for these roles, and we are delighted to bring the search to Coventry today. The Games are for the whole of the UK and it’s great that people across the nation have volunteered their time so willingly. From the athletes to organisers, from the media to the public, we all rely on the volunteers to deliver successful sporting events.’

Coventry based former athlete Dave Moorcroft said: ‘Games time volunteers are not only really inspiring – they are also vital to the success of the Games. Athletes rely on volunteers to ensure they can focus 100% on the task in hand and for anyone watching the Games, it is the volunteers that will make London 2012 the greatest show on earth.’
