Nuneaton Win Local Derby

Nuneaton Town won their local derby against Tamworth on Tuesday night to keep themselves in the play-offs hunt.

A crowd of 1,097 saw Emmit Delfounseo score the only goal of the game in the 12th minute and give Nuneaton a win which lifts them to fourth in the Conference Premier table.

Leamington FC were beaten 1-0 at home by Vauxhall Motors. The only goal of the game came in the 22nd minute.

Rugby Town drew 1-1 at Ashford. Nathan Haines gave Rugby a first half lead but Scott Wright levelled with a free kick in the second half.

Stratford Town won 3-1 at Cinderford Town in a Southern League South & Western game. Richard Gregory gave Stratford an eighth minute lead with a header. Cinderford levelled through Andy Lewis but Stratford restored their lead with a re-taken penalty from Sheldon.

In the second half, the win was wrapped up by a goal for Tulloch.

Bedworth United lost 1-0 at home to Rainworth. Jack Edwards scored the only goal of the game in the 40th minute.

In the Les James Challenge Cup, Southam United were beaten 4-2 on penalties after a 1-1 draw at Bolehall Swifts.
