Nuneaton Well Beaten But Leamington WIn

Nuneaton Town were beaten 4-1 at home by Gateshead in a Conference Premier Division game.

A curler from James Marwood gave the North East side a 15th minute lead and five minutes later, it was two when, Jordan Hugill scored from twelve yards.

In the second half, Colin Larkin got up to score 57th minute penalty and two minutes later, a Rob Ramshaw header made it four. 

Nuneaton pulled one back through Louis Moult in the 73rd minute and were awarded a penalty but James Armson had his spot kick saved and Nuneaton, who have not won in eight match, were a well beaten side.

Leamington left it late to beat Stalybridge 1-0 in a Conference North fixture at The New Windmill. Owen scored the only goal in second half stoppage time in front of a crowd of 646.

Bedworth United beat Loughborough Dynamo 2-1 in a Northern Premier League Division One South game. The visitors took a 57th minute and but Mark Branch equalised with a spectacular strike from well outside the penalty area and following pressure from the Greenbacks, and Sam Craven slammed the winner home from close range.

In the FA Vase First Round, Atherstone were beaten 5-0 at Midland Alliance side AFC Wulfrunians. Jake Webb (7), Nathan Rose-Laing (36), David Asbury (49, 71) and Michael Robertson (76) scored the goals.

Racing Club Warwick lost 4-2 at Coleshill Town with Ryan Langmead scoring twice in the opening eleven minutes.

In the Midland Combination Premier Division, Coventry Copsewood were beaten 5-2 at home by Blackwood, Southam United won 4-0 at Littleton, Nuneaton Griff beat Lichfield City 4-0 and Alvis won 3-1 at Pilkington.

In the Birmingham Vase First Round, Coventry United won 4-2 at Folly Lane, FC Stratford beat Dunlop 3-2, Highway Coundon Court beat Austrey Rangers 5-1, Jag Daimler beat Alcester Town 4-2 on penalties after a 2-2 draw, Kenilworth Town beat Bulkington 4-1 and The Bell/AEI Rugby beat Leamington Hibernian 4-0.
