Nuneaton Town striker Louis Moult has completed his move to Wrexham.

Wrexham will pay Nuneaton compensation for the former Stoke City striker who will link up on a full time basis with Kevin Wilkin.

Speaking to the Leader, Wilkin said: “Hopefully I can progress him again and if we are stood here at the end of the season and he has 20 goals to his name then it will prove to be a good signing,” said Wilkin, who has been inundated with phone calls regarding potential new players today.

“In between here now and then there is a lot of hard work to do, he’s got to buckle down, he knows that. He had indifferent periods through the course of last season and it wasn’t a totally smooth ride for him.

“He started the season very well and probably went off the boil towards the latter part and I need to work with him and make him understand why he went off the boil, identify the reasons behind that and try and make sure it doesn’t happen here at Wrexham, and make sure that even if he is not getting goals then he is contributing something to what we are as a team.

“Really it doesn’t matter who gets the goals as long as we are achieving as a side, but I think he’s capable of scoring goals at this level, he’s proved he’s capable of doing that and I am hopeful he will be an exciting player for people to watch.

“He can get goals, he can link play up very well, he’s got good touch about him, he’s cute and bright around the edge of the box and he will try different things that perhaps some other players aren’t capable of, but he needs to be mindful of where and when he does that.”
