Nuneaton Snatch A Draw, Leamington Lose

Nuneaton Town snatched a last gasp draw at Hyde United this afternoon.

Debutant Freddie Lapado had given Kevin Wilkin's side an 18th minute lead but Hyde drew level through Louis Almond nine minutes later.

That was it as far as goals were concerned until second half stoppage time. In the second minute, a crowd of 447 saw Scott Spencer score to put the home side in front but seventy seconds later, substitute Dave Hibbert equalised to give Nuneaton who are now tenth in the Conference North table a point.

Leamington FC were beaten 2-1 in a Conference North game at Vauxhall Motors.

Tames scored twice in the 20th and 70th minute before Green pulled one back in the 85th minute.

Bedworth United were 3-1 at home by Market Drayton Town in a Northern Premier League Division One South game.

Nick Porter fired the visitors ahead in the eighth minute and this was added to three minutes later by Rob Stevenson. Mark Albrighton pulled one back for the Greenbacks in the 32nd minute but six minutes into the second hal, Porter scored again to send Bedworth to a 3-1 loss.

Richard Gregory scored four times as Stratford Town beat Bishops Cleeve 5-2 in a Southern League South & Western Division game.

The action happened straight away with Gregory scoring after only 35 seconds before a 30 yard daisy cutter from Jamie Sheldon found the  bottom corner in the 26th minute.

Thirty five seconds into the second half and Richard Gregory heads in Simeon Tulloch's cross for a third for Straford who added a fourth in the 56th minute when a great move saw Gregory complete his hat-trick.

A fifth goal came in the 64th minute and it was Gregory again who made the most of a pass from former Coventry City youngster Matty West.

Jake Lee scored for Bishops Cleeve in the 73rd and 82nd minute but they could not take the gloss off Richard Gregory's day.

Alvis are through to the Les James Challenge Cup Third Round after a 2-1 win over West Midlands Police. But Coventry United are out after losing 1-0 against Midland Combination Premier Division leaders Brocton.

Atherstone progressed to Round Four with a 1-0 win over Chelmsley Town.

In the Midland Combinaton Division Two, FC Stratford lost 2-1 at Barton United, but Leamington Hibernian drew 2-2 with Burntwood Town and Kenilworth Town beat Inkberrow 1-0.
