Nuneaton Out Of FA Cup

Nuneaton Town are out of the FA Cup after a 2-0 defeat to FC Halifax Town at The Sperrin Brewery Stadium.

A crowd of 1043 including 181 from Yorkshire, saw Lee Gregory give the visitors a 16th minute lead.

Nuneaton had chances but a second goal ensured that Kevin Wilkin's side were out.

Leamington were beaten 2-1 at Stalybridge in a Conference North fixture. The Brakes had been held up en route to North Manchester and kick off was delayed until 3.30pm.

Two goals in four minutes just before the interval put the home side ahead with Anoruo (37) and Platt (39) on target. Stefan Moore scored the Brakes in the 75th minute but it was not enough.

Bedworth United were beaten 3-2 at home by Newcastle Town in a Northern Premier League Division One South game. Jordan Cole fired the visitors ahead in the tenth minute but Bedworth led at the break with goals from Aaron Forde (30) and Joel Grandison (36).

In the second half, Daniel Skelton equalised in the 54th minute and with twelve minutes remaining, Aaron Carter bagged the winner.

Rugby Town beat Ashford 1-0 in a Southern League Central Division game. David Kolodynski scored the only goal of the game in the 80th minute in front of a crowd of 222 at Butlin Road.

In the Southern League South & Western Division, Stratford Town beat Guildford City 4-0 at the DCS Stadium. Fagan put Stratford ahead in the 24th minute with Gregory scoring in the 49th and 62nd minute before Tulloch wrapped up a win in the 78th minute.

In the Midland Combination Premier Division, Alvis won 3-0 at Earlwood  but Atherstone lost 4-2 at Littleton.

In the Midland Combination Division Two, Leamington Hibernian beat Rostance Edwards 3-2, and Kenilworth Town won 3-0 at Polesworth.

In the Coventry Telegraph Cup Second Round, Coventry Copsewood beat Triumph 3-0, Southam won 2-1 at Woodlands, Coventry United won 3-0 at Chelmsley Town,  but Nuneaton Griff were beaten 2-0 by Jet Blades.
