Nuneaton Lose On Non-League Day

Nuneaton Town were beaten 2-0 on National Non-League Day at Luton Town in a Conference Premier game.

Kevin Wilkin's side, who could only name four substitutes, battled hard but succumbed to a late brace from Alex Lawless in the 86th and 90th minute to leave them still third from bottom.

Leamington FC won 2-0 at Bashley FC in a Southern League Premier Division tie.

Dodd (27) and Taylor (87) got the goals in front of a crowd of 229.

Bedworth United were beaten 6-1 at Hemel Hempsted in front of a crowd of 444. 

Nolan made it 2-0 before half time with goals in the third and 41st minute and in the second half, Parkes made it three on 63 minutes with O'Leary adding a fourth seven minutes later. Osou scored in the 80th minute and Parkes hit his second in the 85th before Haines scored a consolation goal for the Greenbacks in the third minute of stoppage time.

Rugby Town beat Guildford City 6-1 at Butlin Road with hat-tricks from Youngs who scored his in the opening 33 minutes. Gachey pulled one back in the 35th minute. But a bumper crowd of 324 saw David Kolodynski score in the 38th, 62nd and 85th minute for a 6-1 win.

In a Midland Alliance game, Stratford Town won 3-1 at Alvechurch to keep them firmly in top place. 

Luke Edwards, Anthony Robinson and Tyrone Fagen scored in the win.

In the Les James Challenge Cup, Coventry Copsewood went down to a 1-0 defeat at Feckenham.

In the Midland Combination Premier Division, a crowd of 309 saw Racing Club Warwick lost 3-2 at Bromsgrove. Earlswood Town beat Atherstone 6-1 and Nuneaton Griff lost 2-1 at home to Pilkington.
