Nuneaton Town are investigating after thirty hooligans attacked AFC Telford coaches after the 0-0 draw at Liberty Way yesterday.

The CT amongst others is reporting that around thirty Nuneaton hooligans firstly charged across the pitch at the Telford support, only to find their way blocked by stewards.

It is claimed that this mob then exited the stadium and began launching missiles plundered from a nearby skip.

Two Telford coaches sustained damaged and police in eight squad cars and a riot van were able to ensure that the Telford fans got away from the area.

No arrests were made at the scene.

Nuneaton Chairman Ian Neale refused to comment until after a full investigation but told the CT: "Everyone deeply regrets the action of mindless thugs who are clearly not true supporters of our club."
