Nuneaton Hit For Six

Nuneaton Town were beaten 6-1 in a Conference game at Woking this afternoon.

Gavin McCallum opened the scoring in the 25th minute and on the stroke of half-time, Gary Parkinson added a second.

The second half was the Bradley Bubb show. Bubb made it 3-0 three minutes after the restart and scored three more goals in the 55th, 68th and 70th minutes as a Nuneaton side which had seen Kyle Perry miss a penalty were ripped to pieces.

Andy Brown scored deep in stoppage time for Nuneaton but this was a heavy defeat.

In the FA Cup, Leamington came from behind to earn a replay at Stourbridge on Tuesday night.

Knight fired Stourbridge ahead in the third minute before Moore levelled on 62 minutes. However, parity only lasted for ten minutes when Geddes put Stour back in front. Two minutes from time, Daly scored to make it 2-2 on the day.

Bedworth United and Rugby Town will meet again at The Oval on Tuesday night after a 1-1 draw at Butlin Road. Tom Bryne had the Greenbacks ahead in the 18th minute in front of a crowd of 237 but in the 38th minute, Fagan equalised.

Nuneaton Griff are through after a 1-0 win at Dudley Town.

In the Midland Combinaton Premier Division, Atherstone Town lost 3-0 at home to Walsall Wood, Racing Club Warwick lost 2-1 at Blackwood, Coventry Copsewood were beaten 3-1 at home by Brocton but Lee Knibbs Southam United beat Pelsall Villa 3-1 at home.

In the Midland Combination Division Two, Coventry Spires were beaten 4-2 at home by Barnt Green Spartak but FC Stratford beat Inkberrow 3-0 and Leamington Hibernian beat Polesworth 5-3.

In the Centaur Cleaning Challenge Vase, Coventry Spartans won 2-0 at Perrywood but Kev Kingham's Kenilworth Town lost 2-0 at Henly Forest.
