Nuneaton Hit Five

Nuneaton Town won 5-0 away to Redditch United tonight.

Kevin Wilkin's side were given a 15th minute lead through an Ayres own goal before Simon Forsdick scored in the 36th minute and Spencer made it 3-0 four minutes before the interval.

That was the way it stayed until the 87th minute when Chris Dillon scored and in stoppage time, Dillon added another to give Nuneaton a 5-0 win.

Rugby Town were held to a 2-2 draw by Barton Rovers in a Southern League Central Division fixture. Bull put Barton ahead in the 11th minute, but Martin Sockett's side levelled through Hamilton in the 40th minute and were ahead on the stroke of half-time thanks to an Andrews own goal. Unfortunately, for VS, they were denied a victory when Iwediuno equalised in the 80th minute.

Bedworth United went out of the Red Insure Cup with a 1-0 home second round defeat to Daventry Town. Fountain scored the only goal of the game in the 53rd minute.

In the Midland Combination Premier Division, Coventry Copsewood beat Castle Vale 3-0. Scarr opened the scoring in the 20th minute with Craig Civellis adding a second five minutes later. Peta Jon Gordon delighted the hime support with a third goal, twenty minutes from time.
