Nuneaton Go Six Points Clear

Nuneaton Town are six points clear at the top of the Conference North table after a 2-1 win at Stafford Rangers.

Forsdick set Nuneaton on their way with a fourth minute goal which was added to by Marsden in the 49th minute. Moss scored a consolation goal for the home side with three minutes of the match remaining.

After Windsor & Eton were wound up earlier in the week, a hastily arranged friendly for Leamington FC against Kettering Town took place at the New Windmill.

A very entertaining game saw Leamington win 1 - 0 with Stephan Morley scoring the only goal of the game from a well taken free kick in the 54th minute.

In the Southern League Central Division, Rugby Town were pegged back for a 1-1 draw at Barton Rovers. Bedworth lost 1-0 at Leighton Town but goals from Perry and Sockett gave Atherstone a 2-1 win at Uxbridge.

Stratford Town won 2-1 at Friar Lane & Epworth in a Midland Alliance fixture.

Southam United lost 1-0 at Fairfield Villa in the Les James Memorial Cup but Coventry Copsewood had a 4-1 home win over Continental Star in a Midland Combination Premier Division game.

Other Premier Division results saw a 3-1 home defeat for Alveston against Dosthill Colts and that was the same score as Massey Ferguson lost to Pelsall Villa. Racing Club Warwick lost 2-0 at Walsall Wood but goals from Peake and Piggon gave Nuneaton Griff a 2-1 win at Cadbury Athletic.

In the Presidents Cup, Kenilworth Town lost 3-0 at home to Knowle.

Coventry Sphinx based Young Warriors won 3-1 at Enville whilst Leamington Hibernian were held 1-1 by Greenhill.
