Nuneaton Draw But Leamington Lose

Nuneaton Town earned an excellent 1-1 draw at Barnet.

Hyde fired the North Londoners who were relegated from the Football League in to a 16th minute lead but Nuneaton backed by 182 fans in a gate of 1507 levelled through Andy Brown in the 43rd minute.

Leamington went down to a 2-0 defeat at Boston United. Strikers Ricky Miller and Marc Newsham scored the goals in the second half.

Rugby Town drew 2-2 with North Greenford at Butlin Road in a Southern League Central Division game. The visitors took a 2-0 lead but Rugby came back with a Sam Belcher penalty and a goal from Justin Marsden.

Stratford Town beat North Leigh 2-1. Richard Gregory put Town 1-0 up in the 17th minute but a speculative long range effort from Wayne Turk takes a deflection and went in to level.

Joe Halsall headed Stratford back in front in the 51st minute and that was enough to give them the win.

Bedworth United were beaten 3-1 at home by Eastwood Town. Richard Whyman put the visitors ahead in the eleventh minute. Aden Moore levelled for the Greenbacks but in the second half, Eastwood went back in front through a long-range goal from Greg Simmons in the 67th minute, and am 85th minute penalty from skipper Gavin Hurren.

In the Midland Combination Premier Division, Southam United won 4-1 at Racing Club Warwick, Alvis won 3-2 at Bromsgrove Sporting, Atherstone won 1-0 at Pilkington and Nuneaton Griff beat Blackwood 3-2.

In Division Two, Coventry United won 3-0 at Leamington Hibernian, FC Stratford lost 3-2 at Austrey Rangers.
