Nuneaton Come Back To Draw

Nuneaton Town came back to draw 1-1 at home to Forest Green Rovers this afternoon at Liberty Way.

Nuneaton started with former Sky Blues Stephen O'Halloran and Adam Walker and had David McNamee as a substitute and but trailed to a Matty Taylor header in the 57th minute after James Armson had a penalty saved.

Delroy Gordon equalised with eight minutes remaining to see Nuneaton third from bottom in the Conference Premier Division table.

Leamington beat Frome 2-0 to keep up their push for promotion from the Southern League Premier Division. Both goals came in the first half with Batchelor scoring on 12 minutes and Tom Daly adding a second five minutes later.

Bedworth United went down to a 3-2 defeat at St Albans City.

Former City youngster David Blenkinsopp fired The Greenbacks ahead after four minutes but another former Sky Blue in Ben Mackey levelled in the 25th minute before Hilliard put City 2-1 up three minutes later.

Mitch Piggon levelled on 58 but Hilliard scored his second of the match five minutes later to send Bedworth to a defeat.

Rugby Town hit Barton Rovers 5-0 at Butlin Road. Koriya opened the scoring in the 12th minute with Gaskin adding a second in the 23rd minute and David Kolodynski scoring a third in the 33rd minute.

In the second half, Gudger hit a fourth before Kolodynski scored the fifth in the 58th minute.

Stratford Town's Midland Alliance game against Heath Hayes was postponed.

In the Midland Combination Premier Division, Coventry Copsewood won 2-0 at Racing Club Warwick and Atherstone drew 2-2 at Bromsgrove Sporting in front of a crowd of 280.

In the Midland Combination Division Two, Coventry Spartans lost 1-0 at home to Enville and Coventry Spires lost 2-0 at home to Clements 83. FC Stratford won 3-1 at Rugely Rangers.
