Nuneaton Beaten In Top Of The Table Clash

Nuneaton Town were beaten 3-0 in their top of the table Conference Premier clash at Cambridge United.

Nuneaton had not lost an away League game for eight matches. In fact, it was at their last visit to the Abbey Stadium that they were beaten.

Cambridge took the lead in the 22nd minute through Luke Berry and in the 74th minute, they added a second through Kwesi Appiah.

In front of a crowd of 3,740, Harrison Dunk scored with a left footed shot in the 88th minute to give Cambridge a 3-0 win and a four point lead over Nuneaton at the top of the table.

Rugby Town travelled to St Ives Town for a game in the Calor League Division One Central Division and it was a good night for Valley who left with a 3-0 win.

Rugby took a two goal first half lead when Sam Youngs scored with a low effort home following Kolodynski's disguised backheel and substitute Moses-Garvey fed Seb Lake-Gaskin whose deflected effort found the net.

In the second half, Rugby sealed the game thanks to Seb Lake-Gaskin scoring from a long clearance by Cooper.
