Nuneaton Beaten At Home

Nuneaton Town were beaten 2-1 at home by Newport County in a Conference Premier Division game this afternoon.

Kevin Wilkin's side had led when Lenny Pidgeley parried Wesley York's shot and Simon Forsdick netted in the 15th minute.

The South Wales side levelled in the 58th minute through substitute Robbie Willmott and with thirteen minutes left, James Armson headed a Sandell cross into his own net.

Leamington continued to push on for a place in the Conference North next season with a 4-1 home win over Banbury United.

A crowd of 734 at the New Windmill saw Daly score in the third minute and again in the 69th minute after Hopkins had equalised for The Puritans in the 50th minute.

Dodd scored a third in the 83rd minute and four minutes later, Stefan Moore hit a fourth.
