Nuneaton And Leamington Win

Nuneaton Town won 3-1 at Cambridge United in a Conference Premier game this evening.

Kevin Wilkin's side took the lead in the 14th minute when the home side failed to clear and Jimmy Armson slammed home.

On the hour mark, Armson made it 2-0 with an outrageous header and three minutes later, Andy Brown scored a third to delight the 42 visiting supporters. 

Michael Gash pulled one back in the 88th minute but Nuneaton were able to take the three points back down the A14.

Leamington's game at Weymouth went ahead after two pitch inspections and saw The Brakes travelling back to the Midlands with a 4-0 win.

The Brakes looked good but The Terras had chances in a first half that finished without a goal.

In the 62nd minute, Batchelor fired Leamington ahead with Lee Moore scoring a second seven minutes later.

Stefan Moore added a third in 72nd minute and nine minutes later, Moore got his second.
