Nuneaton And Leamington In FA Trophy Second Round Draw

Nuneaton Town are through to the FA Trophy Second Round following a 1-0 win at Alfreton Town.

Louis Moult scored the only goal of the game.

Leamington will travel to Northwich Victoria on December 3rd after a 0-0 draw in a FA Trophy First Round game.

Rugby Town beat Northwood 4-2 in a Southern League Central Division game at Butlin Road. Lawrence put the visitors ahead in the sixth minute but Seb Laskin-Gaskin equalised in the 22nd minute and three minutes later, Dave Kolodynski scored a second with Mitch Piggon adding a third before the break in the 38th minute.

In the second half, Muir reduced the arrears with a penalty before Piggon wrapped up the win with a fourth.

Stratford Town were beaten 2-1 at Taunton in a Southern League South & Western Division game. Gregory fired Stratford ahead in the 22nd minute but the West Country side replied with goals from Pepperell with a 24th minute penalty and one from Murray in the 42nd minute.

Bedworth United drew 3-3 with Brigg Town in a Northern Premier League game.

Liam Dickens put Brigg ahead in the fifth minute but the manager-less Greenbacks went in front thanks to goals from Bradley Munn in the 17th minute and Ruben Wiggins-Thomas three minutes later. 

Michael Jacklin levelled on the half hour mark and it stayed that way until Ruben Wiggins-Thomas put Bedworth 3-2 up but four minutes from time, Jordan Thewlis scored to give Bedworth one point instead of three.

In the Coventry Telegraph Cup, Coventry Copsewood won 1-0 at Jet Blades and Southam United won 4-2 at Coventry United after extra time.

In the Midland Combination Premier Division, Alvis were held to a 1-1 draw by Castle Vale JKS, Atherstone Town lost 2-1 at league leaders Brocton, Nuneaton Griff beat Stafford Town 6-2 but Racing Club Warwick lost 2-0 at Bromsgrove Sporting.
