Nuneaton And Leamington Book Play-Off Places

Nuneaton Town and Leamington FC booked play-off places in their respective divisions.

Nuneaton, whose ground has been approved for promotion, booked their place thanks to Solihull Moors being beaten 7-2 at home by Hinckley United for whom former Coventry City youngster Andy Gooding scored against his former club.

Alfreton won the Conference North title with a 4-0 win over Redditch United.

Leamington won 3-2 at Oxford City to book their play-off place. Lee Steele opened the scoring for the home side before James Rowe levelled for the Brakes, Jerome Anderson hit a second for Oxford just before the first half interval. In the second half, Scott Lycett and James Rowe scored to give Leamington the win.

In the Southern League Central Division, Atherstone Town lost 3-1 at home to Beaconsfield, Bedworth drew 1-1 with Soham Town Rangers and Rugby Town beat AFC Hayes 4-0.

Former Coventry Sphinx striker Jerome Murdock scored twice for Coalville Town, who can win the Midland Alliance title on goal difference from Tipton Town, at Stratford Town.

In the Midland Combination Premier Division, Coventry Copsewood won 2-1 at Pershore, Massey Ferguson lost 5-1 at home to Castle Vale, Racing Club Warwick beat Alveston 4-0 and Southam United drew 0-0 at Bolehall.

In Division One, Kenilworth Town beat Northfield Town 3-2.In Division Two, Young Warriors won 3-0 at Greenhill but Leamington Hibernian lost 3-1 at Perrywood.

In Division Three, Coventry Amateurs won 2-1 at JDG Alliance
