No Stars For Coventry Blaze

Coventry Blaze lost their penultimate home game of the league season when they were beaten 3-2 by the Dundee Stars tonight.

The night started well for the Blaze who took the lead on 14.08 with a powerplay goal from Greg Owen, assisted by Dan Carlson and Robert Farmer.

Jason Robinson incurred a ten minute penalty for unsportsmanlike conduct after he had been penalised for a check from behind just before the end of the first period and in the twelve minutes he was off the ice, Dundee levelled on 28.35 through Dan Ceman.

There was just nine seconds of a powerplay for Coventry remaining when Jeff Marshall got two minutes for trip when Dundee went in front thanks to Ceman again finding the net on 35.25.

On 49.37, Dundee who thrashed Edinburgh last night, hit a third through Steve Makway before Greg Owen got his second goal,assisted by Russ Cowley on 56.22.

Brad Cruickshank got two minutes for slashing and ten minutes for unsportsmanlike conduct and there was a bench minor for a delay of the game but Coventry could not find a way back into the match and went down to defeat.
