Coventry Bears Rugby League Club had the embarrassment of scoring no points in a match for the first time in their history.

It could not have come at a worse time as this was the Midland Conference Final against Nottingham Outlaws.

Ty Watson's side failed to deal with the strong winds and an Nottingham side who had already beaten them this season.

The Bears were 16-0 down at the break and went on to lose 44-0 to Nottingham who will face Carlisle Centurions at Rochdale in the final.

The winner will get a place in the Rugby League national third division next season.
