No Play For Warwicks

There was no play today on the opening day of the County Championship game between Warwickshire and Somerset at Edgbaston.

A wet outfield meant that play was not possible this morning and with it raining on and off, play was abandoned for the day without a ball being bowled.

Warwicks went into the game without Coventrian Ian Bell and Jon Trott after the pair were selected by England for the fourth Ashes Test which starts at Headingley on Friday.

Trott has been in excellent form for Warwicks this season with an average of over ninety.

Play is due to start at 11am tomorrow.
