Coventry Moto GP rider Cal Crutchlow finished ninth in the Gran Premio de Aragón this afternoon.

At the MotorLand circuit, the Yamaha rider from W yken rode well to finish ninth and get the top ten place he had been aiming for in a race won by Casey Stoner ahead of Dani Pedrosa and Jorge Lorenzo.

Tweeting later, Crutchlow said: "Happy with today even though i should have been in the group in front ! Got a bad start and held up first laps, and you can't loose time to these guys. But glad to win my little battle at the end and seems we made a bit of improvement."

There are two races left in the Moto GP calendar in Japan and Australia.
