The UK's top 16 riders took part in tonights British final held at Wolverhampton's Monmore Green stadium in front of the Sky Sports cameras, where the highest placed rider would join Chris Harris at the forthcoming British GP in Cardiff at the end of August as the wildcard entry.

With such a prize at stake alongside the opportunity to be crowned British champion, the racing served up was very entertaining with some great races usually involving one or more of the Bees top three of Chris Harris, Scott Nicholls and Eddie Kennett.

After the 20 qualifying heats, Scott and Eddie had secured their places in the final heat, with Chris Harris coming home behind Wolverhamptons Tai Woffenden in the qualifier heat for the riders who finished 3rd to 6th in the nights standings, to both go through into the final.

So a final that had the Bees top three against Wolverhampton's Woffenden promised much, and so it proved, with Eddie Kennett getting all crossed up before falling at turn 4 of the 1st lap resulting in the final being re-run with the home crowd disappointed as their man Woffenden had made a storming start to lead the way.

At the restart, it was Scott who led into the first corner with Chris Harris chasing him hard and what followed was a super race where the lead changed a number of times between the two before Scott crossed the line first to claim a record breaking seventh British title, and a place in Cardiff on August 25th alongside Harris.
