Nervous Time For Coventry Rugby Club

Coventry Rugby Club will learn on Sunday if they will play in National League One in the new season.

The rugby club based at the Butts Park Arena in Earlson, have been ordered by the Rugby Football Union to provide guarantees that that the club has enough financial backing to ensure that it can fulfill its National Division One fixtures plus have a secure lease and pay a £100,000 bond to the RFU. Otherwise the club,once the best team in English Rugby will face expulsion from the league.

Coventry went into administration back in February with debts of £730,000 and were taken over by Coventry RFC Ltd. They have enlisted to the support of Coventry and Warwickshire MP's in the latest battle to save the club.
