Mixed Fortunes

There was mixed fortunes for the two Warwickshire players involved in the England Lions game at Chelmsford.

Jon Trott made 46 but wicket keeper Tim Ambrose only made four runs which was better than skipper Andrew Strauss who only made one run in England's innings of 413-8 declared.

In reply,India were 336-7 with Sashan Tendulkar hitting 171.

In their County Championship game at Edgbaston, Yorkshire batted first and after 104 overs were 313-6 with McGrath hitting 142.
