Coventry Bees Speedway team beat Birmingham Brummies 49-41 in the Midland Cup at Brandon tonight.
The Bees had to make changes from the team which had lost at Birmingham last night and Rory Schlein came in for Emil Sayfutdinov and both the Pawlicki brothers rode,
Rory Schlein took the first heat for a 4-2 for the Bees who took a 3-3 in the second heat thanks to Piotr Pawlicki passing Vissing.
Birmingham won the next two heat's 5-1 and 4-2 to take a 14-10 lead before Fisher won heat five and with Ty Woffenden being disqualifed for leaning into Prezmy Pawlicki, the Bees took a 5-1 to level the match.
Heat six finished 3-3 with Ben Barker and Danny King riding in a re-run heat seven for a 5-1.
The score was levelled up once more in heat eight thanks to Piotr Pawlicki and Nick Morris gating superbly.
Another 3-3 and Premzy Pawlick having to retire from the meeting due to a shoulder injury, was followed by two 5-1's for the Bees who now led 37.29 after eleven heats.
The Brummies had a 5-1 in heat twelve but two 4-2's and a 3-3 meant that the Bees won 49-41 with an aggregate win of 93-87.
