Leamington Hang In The Trophy

Leamington FC are off down to Margate on Tuesday night for an FA Trophy replay after a 1-1 draw at the New Windmill.

Former Coventry City striker Ben Mackey scored for the Brakes in the 3rd minute after a long ball from former Sphinx winger Jamie Towers found Josh Blake.

With six minutes left, James Pinnock equalised to force a replay.

Coaches for the replay will leave the AP car park at 1.30pm.

Coventry Sphinx invited local residents to their game free of charge but could not put on a show against high flying Loughbrough Dynamo. Paul Charnley's side went down to a 3-0 defeat with Kris Nurse netting a hat-trick.

David Kolodynski equalised in the 72nd minute for Rugby Town in a 1-1 draw at Bedford Town.

Bedworth United lost 2-0 at Berkhampsted whilst in the Midland Alliance, Stratford lost 2-1 at Alvechurch, Racing Club Warwick drew 0-0 at Barwell but Atherstone won 2-0 at Tipton.
Southam top the Midland Combination with a 2-1 win at Brereton Social. Coventry Copsewod were beaten 4-0 at home to Bartley Green. Nuneaton Griff lost 1-0 at home to Highgate.

Stockingford were stuffed 4-1 in the League Cup by Coleshill.

Alveston lost, Leamington Hibernian drew as did Coventry Sphinx Reserves which was enough to give them a 4-3 aggregate win over Rothwell Town in the Challenge Bowl 1st Round 2nd leg.
