Leamington Go Down To Defeat

Leamington FC were beaten in their first ever away Conference North game.

The Brakes travelled to Hednesford Town and led 2-0 at half-time thanks to goals from Chilton and Stefan Moore but in the second half, the home side scored three times from Woolfe (73), Durrell (79) and Rey (88) to condemn Leamington to a defeat.

Rugby Town beat Potters Bar 6-1 in a Southern League Central Division game. 

Rugby took a fourth minute lead through Justin Marsden and it was two , seven minutes later, when Lewis McBride whipped a shot into the bottom corner of the net. Sam Belcher made it three from the penalty spot in the 19th minute.

Another penalty came in the 49th minute and David Kolodynski stepped up, had his shot saved and scored from the rebound.

Lewis Bishop then crowned his debut with a stunning 67th minute thirty yarder before the visitors scored a consolation goal through Greshfield in the 86th minute and a minute from time, Seb Lake-Gaskin converted to give Rugby a 6-1 win.

Bedworth United drew 1-1 in an Evo Stick Northern Premier League One home fixture against Kidsgrove. David Blenkinsopp fired the Greenbacks ahead but Matt Hattrell levelled in the 80th minute

In the Southern League South West Division, Stratford Town were beaten 4-0 at the DCS Stadium by Shortwood United in front of a crowd of 229.

In the FA Cup Extra Preliminary Round replay, a crowd of 183 saw Midland Combination side Atherstone Town beat Midland Alliance side Rocester 1-0.

The only goal of the game came in the 31st minute when the Rocester keeper scooped the ball into his own net. 

Rocester were the better side in the second half but did not put away their chances.

In the Midland Combination, Alvis lost 4-1 at Lichfield City and Nuneaton Griff lost 2-1 at Stafford Town.

Southam United beat Coventry Copsewood 3-1. Simeon Smith opened the scoring in the 12th minute before  Oli Manoochehri notched a second six minutes later.

In the second half, Tom Muldoon, who has joined Copsewood from Coventry Sphinx on loan, pulled one back in the 86th minute but a minute later, another former Sphinx player Pawel Tomczak hit a third for Southam.
