Leamington Beaten In Final

Leamington face another season of BGB Midland Division footbaall after an extra time defeat against Stourbridge. The Brakes took the lead in the 17th minute when Ben Mackey convertred a penalty after the Stourbridge keeper had initially saved the kick from thformer City youngster. Stour were level two minutes later when Nathan Bennett drove home from close range. In front of a crowd of 1632 which included a good number of City supporters, Leamingron had the better of the second half and even had a late goal disallowed for offside. It was in extra time that the match was setlled. Leamington had all the pressure icludoinh three shot off the line. In the 115th minute, a corner was cleared. Stour broke upfield and the ball was crossed for the unmarked Matty Jones to rifle past Richard Morris. Lee Knibbs reign as Coventry Sphinx Reserves manager ended with a 3-0 defeat at Chasetown.
