Leamington Beaten But Great Wins For Rugby & Stratford

Leamington FC went down to a 3-2 defeat to Guiseley in a Conference North game at The New Windmill.

The Brakes missed an early penalty and were made to pay when Forrest scored in the 18th minute and Hall added a second two minutes later.

Richard Johnson pulled one back in the 28th minute only for Rea to restore Guiseley's two goal advantage in the 38th minute.

Leamington scored again with a Dodd penalty in the 52nd minute but it was not enough.

Rugby Town took on the highest scorers in the Southern League Central Division in Uxbridge and won 3-1 at Butlin Road.

The deadlock was finally broken in the 56th minute when Luke Wallace scored following an attack down the right. Rugby were level less than a minute later through Sam Youngs scoring with a low shot.

In the 81st minute, David Kolodynski crossed and Seb Lake-Gaskin bundled in for Rugby's second and six minutes later, a fine win was completed when Kolodynski raced through and got a huge slice of luck when the goalkeeper's clearance ricochets in off him.

Stratford Town travelled to Fleet Town for a Southern League South & Western Division game and left Hampshire with a 7-2 win.

Former Coventry City youngster, Matty West put Stratford ahead after only fifteen seconds. Fleet levelled in the fifth minute but three minutes later, West crossed for Gregory to head home.

Wilson levelled it with a 22nd minute penalty. However, Stratford turned up the heat and Sheldon scored in the 39th and West scored a fourth to see Stratford 4-2 up at half-time.

West completed his hat-trick in 58th minute with a header and it was six in the 73rd minute when Simeon Tulloch found the net. A brilliant result was confirmed with seven minutes left when Chris Sterling finished off a great passing move.

In the Les James Challenge Cup Third Round, Southam United won 3-2 at Fairfield Villa, whilst in the Second Round, Kenilworth Town lost 8-0 at Cadbury Athletic.
