Leamington Are The Champions

After missing out on Monday, Leamington made sure they were confirmed as BGB Southern League Midland Division Champions with an 8-0 thrashing of Malvern Town.

In front of a crowd of 1080 at the New Windmill, Jason Cadden's side were ahead after two minutes thanks to top scorer Mark Bellingham.

Guy Sanders made it two after ten minutes with Jai Stanley adding a third fourteen minutes later.

Mark Bellingham hit his second of the match in the 26th minute with Corbett scoring to make it 5-0 to the Brakes at half-time.

The foot was well and truly off the gas but thirteen minutes from time, Blake hit number six with the seventh goal coming from Husband in the 81st minute.

In the 85th minute, Mark Bellingham completed his hat-trick and a marvellous day for Leamington who can look forward to playing in the Southern League Premier Division next season.

Nuneaton Town booked their play-off spot with a 3-1 win over AFC Sudbury. Former City youngster David Blenkinsopp scored twice with Foster also on the scoresheet.

Third place Atherstone lost 3-1 at Marlow whilst Bedworth lost 3-2 at home to Sutton Coldfield Town.
