Leamington And Alvis Nominated

Leamington FC and Alvis Sporting FC have been nominated in the Coventry, Warwickshire and Solihull Sports Awards.

The ninth Coventry, Solihull and Warwickshire Sports Awards is returning to Solihull for a second year and will be held at the St John’s Hotel on Thursday 7th November 2013.

The Sports Awards is a celebration of sporting achievement and excellence, honouring sports people across the sub region. Members of the public are able to nominate and vote for teams and individuals in fifteen different categories including Sportsman of the Year, Sportswoman of the Year, Team of the Year, Unsung Hero and the Community Sports Award.

The event is organised by a representative group of six partners including Coventry University, BBC Coventry & Warwickshire, Coventry, Solihull and Warwickshire Sport, Coventry PE and School Sport, Nuneaton and Bedworth Leisure Trust and Coventry City Council.

Leamington FC have been nominated for winning the Southern League Premier Division along with Alvis who won the Midland Combination Division One title along with the Coventry Charity Cup and Coventry Telegraph Cup.
