Lakeside No Place For The Bees

Coventry Bees Speedway Team were beaten 55-40 at Lakeside Hammers tonight in an Elite League meeting.

Forced to use rider replacement for Stuart Robson who broke his foot in a meeting in Poland, the Bees had Olly Allen have trouble in the opening heat and a 5-1 turned into a 3-3.

Another 3-3 was followed by Stuart Robson being excluded for the second re-run which Lakeside won 5-1.

Two more 3-3's were followed by a 4-2 and two 5-1's to see the Bees now 31-17 down.

Heat's nine and ten provided two more 5-1's for The Hammers and with the Bees 41-19 down, Kasprzak took the tactical ride and the Pole who had been in the final of the Speedway Grand Prix , rode to a 7-2 win.

Zengota takes a tactical ride in heat twelve with Szczepaniak coming in for Arron Summers. The riders were back after a false start and then Szczepaniak took down Zengota and was exluded with Summers have to come in for Zengota. Summers finished second for a 4-4.

Heats thirteen and fourteen were 3-3's and although Kazprzak won for a 4-2 in the final heat to take him to twenty points for the night, the Bees went down to a 55-40 defeat.
