Archer Bassett Team up with the Ladies

Coventry City Ladies Football Club are proud to announce a further three year partnership has been agreed with Archer Bassett & Co Ltd, Coventry and Warwickshire leading independent letting agent.

MD Peter Moore has supported the club over the last eighteen months and has seen the progress the club has made in such a short period of time finishing second in the Midlands Combination, just missing out on promotion to the Northern Premiership. Archer Bassett were the sponsors of the Ladies Player of the Year which was presented at the Ricoh Arena end of season awards, and Peter decided then that he would invest in the Ladies over a longer period to help the club realise their Premiership ambitions.

Archer Bassett's investment will go towards developing the coaching staff, and the reserve squad where there is a great deal of talent emerging in readiness for a more competitive time ahead.

David Singleton, Club Chairman: "I'm thrilled that Archer Bassett have continued their association with us and joined us in partnership over a three year period. Over a short period, Peter Moore could see that there were commercial gains to be made in our association and we will invest these much need funds in the club for the long term benefit. We will develop coaches to a high standard and develop a succession of players who can compete at the highest level. Already this season we have had two players called up by England and with this investment we can hope for more."

Peter Moore added: "We have been pleased with our association with Coventry City Ladies, they are ambitious and serious about developing girls in the City of Coventry. It's not just about the playing side of the game, players have the opportunity to develop social and leadership skills that they might not attain in other clubs or organisations in the City.

I'm also excited out the relationship they have built up with Coventry City FC who take them seriously and get involved as much as they can. I hope that over the next few years they can become a leading light in Europe's fastest growing female sport, but in the City of Coventry!"

Coventry City Ladies are top of the Midlands Combination League with an excellent start to the season, of two wins and one draw.
