In a momentous week that has seen Coventry City Ladies climb above Leicester City Women into first place in the Midland Women's Combination League the neighbouring rivals have been handed a mouth watering League Cup Semi-Final tie.

The match is scheduled for Sunday the 6th of April at Leicester's home ground in Blaby and marks the second time the two sides have met. Their first encounter saw Coventry hang on for a point on the back of a fine performance from Kerry Williamson. The Foxes dominated a hard fought match but couldn't convert their chances as they were thwarted time and again by the in form City keeper.

Coventry's performances have steadily improved since that September afternoon and confidence will be sky high amongst Stuart Wilson's squad. The two sides are also scheduled to meet three weeks later on the final day of the season, as Coventry once more travel up the M69. The prize could be far greater as the battle for the lone promotion place looks set to go to the wire. The other semi-final tie will see Wolverhampton Wanderers travel to Derby County.

The Sky Blues must first focus on this weekend's opponents as they play host to Wolves. The two face-off for the first time since Wolves knocked Coventry out of last seasons F.A. Cup in front of a record crowd at the Ricoh Arena. The match is scheduled for a 2pm kick off at Coventry University Sports Ground on Westwood Heath Road, entry is free.
