Jets Set To Get Back On Track

Last updated : 29 January 2009 By Adam Etheridge

The Coventry Cassidy Jets return to practice this Sunday (February 1st) at the brand new John Atkinson Sports Centre in the historic Town of Warwick. Players are due to arrive at 10:30am where they will be introduced to new Head Coach Jim Roberson. Midday will see the players take to the state of the art 3G practice field as preparations get underway for the season opening trip to Zurich.

With a packed domestic schedule as well as the challenges of a European campaign the Jets have a lot of work to cram into a short space of time. General Manager Will White is looking forward to the challenge "with the exception of Dax (Michelena, Britbowl MVP winning quarterback) we've got all of the big guns from last seasons squad returning and we've been able to add a few established names to the mix as well".

"We've had a good deal of success in our recruitment campaign over the winter and have attracted some great young athletes. It'll be an intense introduction for the new guys as there's no time to waste". Sunday also marks the climax of the NFL season and as such, the players will relax and enjoy the game at the Isle of Capri casino.
