The Coventry Cassidy Jets have unveiled their new home venue for the 2009 and 2010 seasons. The British Champions will play their home games at Coventry Sphinx Football Club in the heart of the City.

The ground, on Sphinx Drive, is the home of Coventry's highest ranked non-league football club and will now host American Football for the very first time. Currently graded by the Football Association to host football at Step 5 of the National League System the ground has a capacity of 1200.

Coventry Sphinx Chairman Neil Long was delighted to sign the deal that will see the Jets play four league fixtures and a possible semi-final during the summer of 2009 "We're looking forward to welcoming Will (White) and his team to Sphinx Drive. We're confident that the Jets will have further success this coming season and that they'll enjoy playing in their new surroundings here at the Sphinx. I'm delighted that the Jets have chosen our facilities as their new home and this recognises the improvements we have made to the ground since gaining promotion to the Midland Alliance"

Media Relations Manager Parm Sidhu brokered the deal that sees the National Champion Jets return to playing in a Stadium for the first time in almost 2 years. "It was our main off field focus throughout the close-season" commented Sidhu. "We realise how important it is to rebuild our local fanbase and playing in a facility like this allows us to provide the full gameday experience that our fans have become accustomed to".

Sidhu also revealed that "The Crew" cheerleaders will be returning after a 2 year absence. Crew Manager Gary Barson expressed his excitement to back on board "we're delighted to be renewing our relationship with the number one ranked American Football team in the UK for the upcoming season. After having to miss out on last year's success due to the games being played at a venue where the girls couldn't dance, we're looking forward to appearing at the Sphinx and adding to a great spectacle".

"We've already enjoyed linking up with The Jets this year having joined them at The Isle of Capri Casino for their Superbowl party" continued Barson, "having The Jets back in The Crew portfolio fits in well with all of the other sporting teams the girls represent". Adam Etheridge will also return as MC, a role that he filled from 2005-2007, providing commentary for fans new to the sport.
