Leigh Jamieson has left Coventry Blaze and signed for English Premier League side Milton Keynes Lightning.

Jamieson had six years at the Blaze and said about the move to the Blaze website: "I would like to say how pleased and excited I am to be returning to play in MK and thank Nick for making it possible for me to play Elite League hockey for the past six years, which wouldn't have been possible without his input.

"This has not been an easy decision for me, but after a lot of consideration and long hard conversations with my family and fiancé Janine, I decided that I need to concentrate on what is best for my long term future. I plan to qualify whilst continuing to work in the family business which I will do throughout the off season hockey with a view to taking over the business when my Father enjoys his semi- retirement.

"I have had a amazing time playing professionally and have made a lot of very good life long friends that I will sadly miss playing with, but at the same time I am really looking forward to playing with a lot of my old team mates and returning to play in my home town for the MK Lightning and most importantly winning some silverware."
