Coventry born Cal Crutchlow finished a creditable sixth in the British MotoGP Grand Prix at Silverstone.
Crutchlow had suffered a broken and fractured left ankle during practice but bravely ignored the pain to take part in his home Grand Prix.
The Yamaha rider put up a good fight to finish sixth in a race won by Jorge Lorenzo ahead of Casey Stoner and Dani Pedrosa.
