Coventry Bears Rugby League team beat St Albans 28-12 at Butts Park Arena today.
Back at the Butts Park Arena after the pitch was re-seeded, The Bears took a 28th minute lead through a Tanaka Chamunakora try which was converted by Chris Stevenson.
Twelve minutes later, Ross Bayston scored a second try to see Coventry 12-0 up at the break.
The visitors scored early in the second half with a converted try but in the 48th minute, Ben Vivian increased The Bears lead with a try converted by Bayston.
Dan Ljazouli went over for Coventry in the 57th minute to make it 24-6. St Albans scored a second converted try but a solo effort from Luke Watts added two more points to give Coventry a 28-12 win.
