Home Cup Draw For Sphinx

Coventry Sphinx have been awarded a home draw in the FA Cup.

Paul Charnley's side who are looking forward to a season of football in the Midland Alliance will face Midland Alliance side Barwell in the Extra Preliminary Round on August 30th. Last season,Sphinx beat Barwell 5-2 at home and lost away by the same score.

Should they win, they will travel to either Ledbury Town or Bromyard Town.

Other games in the competition see Racing Club Warwick play Cadbury Athletic,Nuneaton Griff travel to Rocester,Southam take on Boldmere S Michaels and Stratford Town hosting Pershore Town.

Sphinx have been seeded to the first round proper of the FA Vase following their monumental cup run last seaon but firsy qualifying round ties sees Coventry Copsewood travel to Wednesfield, Nuneaton Griff travel to Teversal and Stratford travel to Bridgnorth.

Sphinx are to receive their Midland Alliance fixtures shortly and start their pre-season campaign with a trip to Carlton Town on July 12th
