Heavy Defeat For Leamington

Leamington FC went down to a heavy 5-1 defeat at Stourbridge FC.

Fitzpatrick opened the scoring in the 12th minute and then Billingham scored in the 20th minute and Evans added a third in the 35th minute.

Stefan Moore did pull one back for the Brakes in front of a crowd of 667 in the second minute of first half stoppage time but it proved to be a mere consolation as Billingham scored his second in the 73rd minute, which was followed seconds later by a fifth scored by Benbow.

Bedworth United's home game against Redditch United was postponed.

Rugby Town drew 2-2 at Godalming FC. Belcher had fired Rugby ahead in the 19th minute but Godalming scored twice to lead at the break. In the 68th minute, a goal from Alex Gudger gave Rugby the draw.

In the Midland Alliance, Stratford Town won 5-3 at Boldmere St Michaels.

In the Midland Combination Premier Division, Coventry Copsewood beat Bolehall Swifts 3-1, Nuneaton Griff beat Racing Club Warwick 1-0 and  Southam United came back to beat Blackwood 3-2.

In the Midland Combination Division Two, Coventry Spartans were beaten 3-2 at home by Barnt Green Spartak, Leamington Hibernian were beaten 2-0 at Sutton United but Alcester Town beat Rugeley Rangers 8-1.

In the Challenge Vase, Coventry Spires were beaten 4-1 at Henley Forest whilst FC Stratford beat Polesworth 3-1.

In the Birmingham Vase, Alvis won 2-0 at Folly Lane but Christ The King lost 4-0 at home to Chelmsley Town.
