Harris Third In Elite League Riders Championship

Coventry Bees rider Chris Harris finished third tonight in the Elite League riders Championship at Swindon.

Harris and Scott Nicholls both represented Coventry and both made the semi-finals with Harris having one win and four seconds, whilst Nicholls took ten points for two wins, a second and two thirds.

After twenty heats, Harris and Nicholls both rode in the semi-final. Harris took the lead on the first lap and held on to book his place in the final   followed home by former Bees rider Rory Schlein, Jepsen Jensen and Scott Nicholls.

Harris and Schlein lined up against Chris Holder of Poole and Niels Kristian Iversen of Kings Lynn who had automatically qualified for the final with twelve points.

Schlein fell twice before being excluded for the re-running of the Grand Final. This time, Holder led from the start and won ahead of iversen and Harris.
