Coventry Bees Speedway Team will have the services of Chris Harris for next season.

Harris had four years at Brandon but joined Belle Vue last season with Rory Schlein during the period of uncertainty about the Bees future.

The Cornishman has rode for the Bees on a number of occasions this season as a guest and as his average has dropped, he can make his return to Brandon for next season.

Speaking to the Coventry Observer's Steve Carpenter, Harris said: "Coventry want me back, and the deal was quite quick and easy. "They were always going to be my first choice, with living down the road. I know the people well and it was an easy decision.

"It’s been a tough time at Belle Vue but I enjoyed it up there, I learnt a lot and it was good for me.

"It’s probably done me good to have a year away, and I’m looking forward to coming back."
