LAKESIDE HAMMERS 49 COVENTRY BEES 41
The Coventry Bees travelled to Lakeside to take on the Hammers in an Elite League clash between two teams at either ends of the league table.

Coventry again tracked Chris Harris at number 5 in the line-up but the Hammers struck an immediate blow with a maximum 5-1 in heat 1, which was followed by 2 drawn heats before they edged 2 points further ahead in Heat 4.

The 6 point deficit was maintained until heat 9 when Chris Harris and Josh Auty scored a 4-2, with the very impressive former Bee Stuart Robson scoring well all night for the Hammers including second place in this heat, to being the gap down to 4 points.

As confident the Bees must have felt at this stage that they could get a good result from the night disappeared in Heats 13 and 14 where the Bees were the wrong side of two successive 5-1 maximums that ensured that the Hammers won the meeting.

Although the Bees salvaged something in heat 15 by gaining their only maximum 5-1 of the night this was still not enough to bring home a bonus point, and whilst the Bees scorers are shown below, mention must be made of Stuart Robson who from the reserve berth scored and impressive 17 points from 7 rides for the Hammers.

1. Krzysztof Kasprzak 1 3 3 1 3 = 11
2. Lewis Bridger 0 1 3 X = 4
3. Ben Barker 3 2 0 3 2* = 10 + 1
4. Edward Kennett X 0 3 0 = 3
5. Chris Harris 2 3 3 0 = 8
6. Josh Auty 1* 0 1 0 = 2 + 1
