Warwickshire County Cricket Club were toiling when bad light stopped play on the opening day of their County Championship game at Worcestershire.

Warwicks who are unbeaten this season started seventeen points beind Worcestershire in the Division Two table and it was the home side who batted first.

Skipper Darren Maddy used seven bowlers including himself but it was Neil Carter who had the success taking the wickets of Mitchell (79),Moore (46), Smith (1) and Moeen (0).

With Chris Woakes having Davies LBW for 34, Worcestershire were 282-5 before the players left the field due to the light.
