Former Blaze Player Found Dead

Former Coventry Blaze forward and defenceman Wade Balek has been found dead in a Toronto hotel room.

The body of Balek who played for the Coventry Blaze in 2004/2005 during the NHL strike, scoring seven goals and ten assists in 47 appearances, was discovered at the One King West hotel and condo building in Toronto on Wednesday.

Police have not released the cause of death of the 35 year old player last with the Nashville Predators.
