Coventry Blaze ice hockey team were 5-0 victors at Hull Stingrays.

At Hull tonight,  Coventry were ahead on 2.35 when Greg Chambers scored assisted by Jon Weaver and Adam Calder.

There were no more goals in a fairly even first period and halfway through the second period, The Blaze were reduced to four men when Danny Stewart received ten minutes for unsportsmanlike conduct.

This did not affect Paul Thompson's team as on 31.40, Luke Fulghum hit the second for the Blaze, assisted by Matt Soderstrom. The Stingrays took a time out but could do nothing as Dan Carlson made it 3-0 with a goal on 33.07.

Thirty seconds into the third period, Dan Carlson hit his second of the match when he scored on the powerplay, assisted by Henry.

Hirsch pulled off the odd good save but the Blaze continued their relentless onslaught of the Hull goal. On 46.29, Russ Cowley sent the Blaze nap when he scored assisted by Lee and Stewart.

On Saturday, the Blaze are at home to Edinburgh before travelling to the Capitals on Sunday. Face off on Saturday night is at 7pm.
